The fact is that Baba Balak Singh and Baba Ram Singh along with early members of the Namdhari sampara accepted Sri Guru Granth Sahib as their Satguru.
Baba Ram Singh wrote in letter 55 sent from his exile in Burma:
“ਹੋਰ ਭਾਈ ਦਸਾਂ ਪਾਤਸਾਹੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੰ੍ਰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਾਥਾਪਨ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਸੋ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਇਸਠਿਤ ਹੈ । ਹੋਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ”
Even the old writings of the Namdharis accept Sri Guru Granth Sahib as Satguru. Baba Dhian Singh Namdhari in the book Sri Satguru Bilas wrote the following that was said by Baba Ram Singh:
ਦਸਮ ਗੁਰੁ ਕੀ ਰੀਤ ਸੰਭਾਲੋ।
ਲੰਕ ਦੂਹਨ ਮੈ ਕੋ ਰਖਵਾਲੋ।
ਪਾਂਚ ਕੱਕਾ ਵਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ।
ਦਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੁਖ ਦਾਨ।
ਗੁਰੁ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਮੇ ਜੋਈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।
ਸੋਈ ਧਾਰੋ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਸਿਖਿਆ।
ਫੇਰ ਕਰਯੋ ਜਾਉ ਅਬਚਲ ਨਗਰੀ।
ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਕੀ ਰੀਤੀ ਸਗਰੀ।
ਕਛੁਕ ਰੋਜ ਰਹਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਭਾਈ।
ਲਿਖ ਲਿਆਵੋ ਰੀਤੀ ਸਮਦਾਈ।
ਗੁਰੁ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਅਰਥਾਊ।
ਊਹਾਂ ਰਹੋ ਭੋਗ ਸਭ ਪਾਊੱ।
Bhai Kala Singh Namdhari in his book Shahid Bilas 1869 wrote:
ਗੁਰੁ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਗੁਰ ਪੰਥ ਕੋ ਗੁਰ ਸੁਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪੰਚ। ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਨਾ ਕਟੇ ਕਾਲ ਜਮ ਫੰਦ।
The historical evidence from Sikh sources is absolutely clear that Sri Guru Gobind Singh made Sri Guru Granth Sahib the final and eternal Guru. This fact was accepted by the Namdhari Sikhs until the middle of the 19th century until elements within them began to twist history and created the fiction of human Guruship.
